Feering Bell hosted Chequers White from Gt Tey, in the Daniel Robinson and Sons Braintree
and District Petanque League this week.

Victorians honour its veterans
At the 20th Annual General Meeting of the Victorians four founder members were granted
Life Membership.
Peggy Jessop, our first Treasurer (1990-92) will be remembered as much
for her table-top dancing as her petanque prowess, Jenny Clifford our second President (1992-4),
Albert, her husband as second Treasurer (1993-5) and Bob Wilmot as first Secretary (1990 – 2009),
the only member who could do joined-up writing.
The ladies were presented with bunches of flowers and all four members received scrolls
recording their efforts designed by Derek Sutton.
