Rayne Primary School
In an effort to encourage juniors into our sport Viv
Middleton-Sams and Clare Courtney visited Rayne Primary School over a year ago. The headmaster,
Mr. Andy Wright, was very interested and said he would like to build a piste within the school
playing field and encourage the children to take up the sport. Nothing more was heard, then out
of the blue an email was received to advise us the piste was now built and they were ready to
go, and another visit was needed to set them on the right road.
So on Thursday 17th June, Trevor Blows and Clare Courtney visited and spent 2 hours with the
youngsters who were very keen and some who showed great promise. Mr. Wright is starting with
the year 5’s and hoping to hold in house competitions and gradually bring the younger ones
through as well.
Let’s hope that this becomes a little feeder club for the future of our sport.
