There’s going to be quite a contest for top places in the coming weeks.
Congratulations to D.S. Brits for leading the field at present, having played all rounds so far.
Coppice Codgers and Cricketers are showing good strength both only 1 game behind. Towers and
Victorians 1, both with a match in hand, look poised to overtake in the next few rounds.
I would remind players that they cannot play for more than one team during the season. That includes
Victorians who have 2 teams, the players for each being listed on separate sheets. I would be appalled
if they did otherwise (not while I’m P.M.!)
There is, however, no limit to the number of players each team may draw from. The age-old custom has
been that they should all be customers of McMullen pubs. More recently times have changed, teams over
in Hertfordshire have disappeared, and we now have two “non-McMullen” teams in the league.
Bob Wilmot.
