With a couple of matches outstanding, the final positions are
unlikely to be seriously affected.
Congratulations to the Nag’s Head for their outright win
once again, coming up from the rear in the final weeks to overtake their closest rivals, Victorians.
Despite the foul weather on many evenings, teams have done their best to catch up or call on Rule 5 to
share the points for games rained off. There seems to be no answer to the problems of contact
between teams in the final hours before a deluge strikes.
Thanks to the pub managers for their hospitality and special thanks to Ron Turner of the Met. Police
for the loan of the terrain at Chigwell while Britannia await their return to the Bank of England site.
Hopefully, the Met. Police will be fielding their own team next year. Botany Bay are also interested
in returning to the league.
Well done, everyone and here’s to a better summer 2008!
