Towers PC from South Weald are the Eastern Counties Region triples champions for 2010. The Towers team of Eric and Pauline Taylor and Dawn Bourquin were sitting with two wins when they met Rayne Swan who also had two, to decide who would progress to the final. With Towers leading 5-3 a disputed score completely threw the Swan team who then lost 5 on the next end, going on to lose the match 13-5.
Meanwhile Onley from Stisted reached the final after defeating Feering Bell 13-5 and ended with a better points difference than either The Swan or Colne Angel.
Colne Angel must be the unluckiest team on the day as they had beaten both finalists in the earlier rounds.
The Onley team of Dan and Trevor Blows and Simon Bird stayed in the game up until 8all, but good pointing by both P.Taylor and Bourquin saw the Towers team pull away to win 13-8.
