The final Regional qualifier was held at Bocking PC in glorious weather and after a long and tiring day the team of Adam & Eve finished in top spot, unbeaten on the day, and with 12 wins overall. Adam Buxton, Lee Dodge, Vince Schofield (Rayne Swan) and Michelle Tarbun (Chequers) did not have it easy with the teams of Onley, Towers and Victorians all running them close.
In second place with 10 wins are Chequers from Great Tey. John Perfect, Paul Brown, Lloyd Herman and Frank Britt had a good day with three wins, just losing out in their final game against Colne Angel 13-8.
Three Lions, Keith Flack, Gus Garland, Matt Smith and Dean Little from Towers, also had 10 wins but finished in third place on points difference.
Next are Victorians 1 with 9 wins. Dave Tarling, Ritesh Lungut, Francois Bourquin and Andy Wilmot were untroubled in all their games except one, where they surprisingly lost 13-2 to Rayne Angels.
Colne Angel, Simon Bird, Julie Constable, Dee Barrow and Kim Lachani, have had a very good qualifying series and finished it off in style with wins over Campetanque, Towers and Chequers to take 5th spot.
Towers, Rayne Angels and Onley all had 7 wins to finish 6th, 7th and 8th respectively.
The next four teams, Victorians 2, Thorley 1, BDB and Campetanque all had 6 wins apiece and will play in the Challenge Trophy.
