Victorians   v   Bridlington-Millau   Sunday 31st January 2010

On a cold but sunny day, Victorians won their fourth-round match of the Knockout against Bridlington 5 – 2.
In the first Open Triple, Dean Little, Phil McCrostie and Ritesh Lungut won 13 – 10, Phil pointing and Dean shooting and carreau-ing well. In the Mixed Triple, Dawn Bourquin, Dinesh Seetahul and Raj Tupsy dominated the game, winning 13 – 5.
In the first Open Double, Raj and Dave Tarling won 13 – 3, with excellent shooting and pointing respectively. Dean and Phil won the second Open Double 13 – 9, but Dinesh and Iris Sutton lost the Mixed Double 8 – 13.
At this point with four games, Victorians were the match winners. However, Bridlington had travelled from East Yorkshire and sportingly wanted to carry on and play the final Triples games, winning the Mixed 13 – 12 and losing the Open 12 – 13.
Bridlington proved strong, friendly opponents leaving at 3.15, after hospitality, to face a 200 mile journey home.
This win takes the Victorians into the quarter finals against either Meadow P.C. or Brighton & Hove P.C.
