The EPA Ladies Triples finals took place on Sunday and ECR’s Vanessa Webb & Kim Lachani were taking part having qualified in the top 8.
Vanessa and her team mates Debbie Elcome & Angie Jamieson, were seeded no.1 after coming through the 2 qualifiers unbeaten. They started well with a 13-5 win over Jennifer Cooter & the Huntley girls. They then had their first defeat and it was 13-2 to Kim along with Lisa Edmondson, Kath Brooks & Emma Longstaff.
That was their only mishap though, as they went on to win the rest of their games to reach the final where they proceeded to beat Golder, King, Sharrat & Shrimpton 13-3. They will now represent GB in the Ladies World Championships in Thailand.
Kim’s team performed well to reach the 3rd/4th place play offs where they defeated the Cooter & Huntleys team 13-2.
