The Eastern Counties Region triples tournament took place on Sunday and in glorious weather there was a high standard of play.

After squeezing through the morning group stages on points difference the team of Frank Britt, Adam Buxton & Vince Schofield, then took the competition by storm. In the semi finals they defeated Chris Allen, Vanessa Webb & Clare Courtney 13-2 with some cracking shooting from Buxton.
In the final they met the strong team of Simon Bird, Sofiane Lachani and Trevor Blows. With Britt pointing well, backed up by accurate shooting from both Buxton & Schofield, they raced into a 10-2 lead. Despite a mini comeback the Swan/Chequers team took the game 13-6 and will now represent the region in the Champion of Champions tournament.

The Feering Bell team of Dave & Jack Pearse and Dave Bird did well to reach the plate final where they were up against a very strong Victorians side from Theydon Bois.
Ritesh Lungut, Tupsy Leckraj & Dave Tarling only just missed out on the main competition on points difference. Despite some good pointing by both Dave Bird & Jack Pearse backed up by accurate shooting from Dave Pearse the Victorians team were just too strong and ran out comfortable winners.
