Despite the poor turnout for the Eastern Region Triples it was a very enjoyable day for those that did decide to play.
In lovely sunshine the morning session was won by the Colne pairing of Simon Bird & Viv Middleton-Sams who were ably assisted by Adam Buxton. With possibly a home advantage on their difficult terrain, they went through to lunch untroubled & unbeaten.
Potters Bar had a bad morning losing all their games but started well after lunch with a win over the Colne team. This turned out to be their only win of the day, and despite the loss for Colne they went on to become the ECR triples champions for 2007 and will represent the region in the Champion of Champions at Hitchin on 30th Sept.
Joining them after finishing in runners-up spot will be the Griffin team of Deke Gardiner, Paul Sparkes & James Clarke who only lost 2 games.
