This was the first of the Towers Petanque Club open competitions at the refurbished Tower Arms and petanque pistes. It was good to celebrate the fact that Towers Petanque are back to their spiritual home. It was a bright sunny day and there was a great atmosphere for the competition.

There were 7 teams from Essex, Herts. and Kent, each playing 6 games. It concluded with top teams positions as follows:

1st position: FTW from Kent with 6 wins.
2nd position: Towers 1 with 5 wins.
3rd position: The Villagers from Kent with 3 wins.
