Rayne Swan Petanque club held their annual money doubles tournament and in the very changeable and cold weather play went on from 10 am until 7pm, a very long and tiring day.
Winners of the main were Sofiane Lachani & Andy Longstaff from West Midlands defeating Keith Flack (Rayne Swan) and Dean Little (Victorians, Theydon Bois) in the final 13-12. Flack & Little had reached the final after an epic semi final win over West Midlands pair Jerome Rousseau & Nic Baxter 13-8, while Lachani & Longstaff had beaten Bruce Rowland & Mehdi Bira from London, 13-11.

A team from Kent, Geoff Booth & Jaques Tivillier, played very well to reach the final of the Plate, knocking out last years winners Colin & Viv Sams in the semis. They lost the final 13-5 to Adam Buxton & Lorne Gibson (Rayne Swan)

The Consolage was a bit of a family affair with Grandparents Alan & Rosina Huntley (Chiltern) up against Granddaughter Amy Huntley and Jack Blows. The youngsters showed no mercy winning 13-2.
