The Chequers PC at Great Tey held their annual Brass Monkeys competition on New Years Day and the competition worked out almost exactly the same as last year.
Two unbeaten teams from the morning rounds, Danny's destroyers (Frank, Lloyd, Danny) from the Chequers and the Blows family (Nikki, Daniel, Trevor) from the Onley Arms contested the final in a repeat of 2006.
At 9-9, the match was very close but at the final end, the coche was moved and allowed the Destroyers to point in for the game.
A good day, well hosted, with 10 teams taking part.
