The BDPL singles event took place at the Chequers, Great Tey.
The morning play saw Adam Buxton (Rayne Swan), Trevor Blows (Onley Arms), Bill Eve (Chequers) and Scott Willsdon (Rayne Cock) finish at the top of the points table and go into the Main event.
The remaining players went through to the Plate competition.
The afternoon 'round robin' events saw Eve beat Buxton 13-6 in the deciding game to take the championship. Blows beat Willsdon for third place.
In the Plate, three players finished with three wins. Tony Hird from the Cock had the best points average with newcomer Tracey Austin (Onley) just pipping experienced Frank Britt (Chequers) to the runners-up position.
